Launching a new luxury hotel brand & fine dining restaurant

The Chester Hotel opened in Spring 2014 and it's aim was to bring the style of its award winning sister property, The Chester Residence in Edinburgh, to Aberdeen. A 19th century, listed building on the Granite City's beautiful Queen's Road, the hotel offers 54 Classic, Grand and Club rooms, including two suites, with each room individually designed and decorated in a classic but contemporary style.

The state-of-the-art function suite hosts up to 300 delegates and weddings and large corporate dinners can be accommodated for up to 180 guests (with a dedicated wedding and events planner). IX Beauty features two beauty rooms and nail bars, offering indulgent treatments some of which are exclusive to the hotel in Aberdeen, and the fine Dining IX Restaurant, led by Savoy-trained, award-winning Executive Chef Kevin Dalgleish, seats 90 diners.

Target markets include oil business executives, golf and leisure visitors, weddings and events, among others, and we have been working closely with the management team to increase their profile and position them as the top luxury destination hotel in Aberdeen.

Projects have included project managing and writing the new website, ongoing UK national and international media relations (including profiling the chef and national/international review pieces), managing social media to gain as much engagement as possible, drafting editorial and advertorial copy, and arranging events - for example, the recent Multrees Walk 'pop-up street' fashion event involving several UK luxury brands. In addition, Niche Works also fulfills the hotel's monthly email marketing requirements.
